Reminder and Update about the Hokkaido Show

New & Updated Information: The Hokkaido Potters Society will now accept an additional 8 pieces to be on display with the exhibit. This makes 20 total OPA tiles that can be sent to the show. However, only the top 12 pieces will be photographed and included with the exhibit catalog, due to catalog space restrictions. The original instructions were that 14 pieces were to be sent to Japan.
Artists who have work accepted into the exhibit will not have to pay shipping. Shipping costs to Japan will be covered by the OPA. HPS will cover shipping costs of unsold work back to the US.

Posted: February 8, 2013 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »OPA Members are invited to submit two wall tile pieces to be juried for entry to be shown along side wall tiles made by potters in the Hokkaido Potters Society. Up to 15 pieces will be chosen and sent to Japan to be on display for the month of October. You do not have to go to Japan, but there may be an opportunity to travel.
Application Deadline: March 30
Jury: Pieces will be selected in person by the jurors at Ceramic Showcase

Seasons, an OPA show at the North Bank Artist Gallery

With a special invitational exhibit of OPA’s Hokkaido Tile award winners.
The OPA, in conjunction with the North Bank Artist Community Gallery is seeking artwork that celebrates the four seasons.
CALENDAR:
July 15th: Application POSTMARK deadline August 5th: Notification begins via email
Sept 3rd – 4th: Deliver work to gallery
Sept 6th: Show opens 6-8 PM: First Friday Opening Reception Sept 28: Exhibition closes
